Sunday Raids - Guild Mythic Helya! And some of us are Chosen!

So, we decided to try Mythic ToV again and OMG we were successful!

It all went very smoothly, though we were still doing Guarm wrong, but we had a few people die to that, but everyone else got through.

After spending some time explaining the fight, we took on Helya and did REALLY well, and got it down first go, with some of us netting the achievement!

Crooked, Galestion (who went AFK to wash dishes during Odyn and thus died), Fin, Ultra and Consti died. But, we've decided to keep Sundays free to keep trying for that achieve for everyone else, and hopefully lots of interest for people doing it.

We also get a new transmog set for getting Mythic Helya, so here are me and Splatz wearing it.

Yeah... that one can go back in the cupboard. Except the shoes. I like those.

Another guild achieve knocked out. Woo!

Raiding - Orkblut's turn for a mount

Orkblut hasn't been on much (I used to call him Katharian, but now he plays his hunter, Orkblut, more) but he was back and he very much wanted to get the mount from the AOTC. So we took him along this week.

Kelthal/Vork was very confused because when I would explain stuff to Ork, he'd think I was talking to him.

"Ork move back," I'd say.
"But I'm not doing anything!" said Vork.
"ORK not VORK!"

"Ork, stay dead and collect orbs."
"But I'm not dead."
"ORK NOT VORK!"
"That's so confusing... just call me Kel," said Vork.

Anyway, we got it down, and a whole bunch of alts and Orkblut got their AOTC. Yay for another guildie with their mount :)

It's pet battle week and I finally worked up the stamina to tackle those Argus pet battles again. I feel really bad that I have to resort to going to Xu-Fu's Pet guide all the time to get the strats for my pet battles... I really should have spent the hours working out the strats myself...

Anyway, even with their suggestions, I was struggling on some of them. Especially those ones where they do a nether portal or the instant kill at the start. I was stuck on one for AGES because I didn't have the right combination of pet breeds, though there were some that had decent substitutes.

And the reward for all that work? A new pet of course! Say hello to my Felclaw Marsuul.

I noticed that it did the "cat form dance" when I sat down - it was sitting too. The one with the waving paw. Anyway, this Marsuul is in fel colours - a nice match for your fel outfit!

Fail Friday - Coffee's little spill

Poor Coffee. We were trying to do The Chosen on Sunday, and I'd been trying to do the explanation but suddenly the boss started hitting us and Ultra was screaming we need to start GOGO!

But, we were in poor positions, people died early and it was a full wipe.

Coffee was horrified. Her pet was not on aggressive and she hadn't shot anything! But there it was for everyone to see ... Coffeehunter pulled.

It turns out that her trinket which throws mines around did it. The mines can spawn around where her pet was, and the pet had been attacking mobs at the front, but a mine got left there. It timed out and exploded (because Coffee hadn't exploded it) and then that pulled the boss. Not an issue when we pull the front adds first because Helya is not attackable then, but since we did the adds last, the mine was there and 30 seconds later when it detonated she was attackable.

Ah well, There's always the next Sunday to try again!

Sunday Raiding - 6 more Chosen!

Bashed at Helya again, and we got another 6 people through with being Chosen. Coffee, Crooked, Galestion, Duggy and Ram got theirs (can't remember who the 6th person was), but HK, Ultra and Fin still haven't got it. Guess we'll be doing it again next week!

We tried some refinements to how we did Guarm, and for the most part people did it correctly, but Fin said someone got him killed, though I am not sure how.

HK unfortunately just seemed to have a big lack of heals.

Ultra is sad because he will be away for a little while, so there is no opportunity for him to be able to get it. Aza was away because he was with his family.

Anyway, hopefully, better news next week!

I was opening my Valarjar Cache and I got another hunter legendary. So that makes two. But... that still doesn't mean I am levelling a hunter...

What about boosts someone said to me? Yeah... well, that's a lot of money to spend on boosts. Though, I still have my old 100 and 110 boosts available.

Raiding - Out of practice perhaps!

"Let's do a full clear for something different," Splatz said to me.

Yeah ok. But HK is off at a work thing playing Cards against Humanity. Who is going to tank?

Uh oh.

It's me.

So off we went doing a full clear and bringing 2 very undergeared and inexperienced people. For the first few bosses, it wasn't really an issue.

Actually, I lie. Portal Keeper Hasabel was dreadful.

HK logged in wondering what we were doing. I said to him on Battle.net to come and save me.

He logged in and said "You're still in there?"

Then he realised we were on Hasabel. "Oh you've done Argus already?"

Errrr... no. When he found out we were wiping to that he was a little incredulous.

"Wait, so you guys are only up to Hasabel??"

Once he started tanking, it was much better. Until we got to Varimathras.

Poor Dumbear, the new guy. He hadn't quite worked out when to run out or when to run back in, so he kept coming in too early and we'd all get AIDS. And we wiped. We did that twice and then it was end of raid time. I don't think we were particularly fussed (it is end of tier after all) but I whispered poor Dumbear and reassured him how to do it, and to kill himself if necessary. Callous sounding, yes but better then being embarrassed for wiping the raid!

We came back on Thursday then proceeded to wipe on Coven. After a few wipes I said go on to Agg and Argus and we did that and came back to Coven, but unfortunately couldn't get it down. I think people just forgot to avoid bads.

It's been a while since we did a full clear. I guess we're just out of practice! I think that it's not too bad to do that once a month so we can knock out any buildups of Class Hall quests, but I was enjoying having Thursday off to do other things.

Madcow and Dumbear had fun and picked up lots of gear. Hopefully more useful to the group next week!

Fail Friday - This week's winner is ...

Poor Dumbear.

His first time raiding with the guild and we drop him in heroic Antorus, where there are certain fights where one mistake will wipe a raid. He did pretty good though up till Vari.

To be honest, I have done the same thing twice in one raid, wiping everyone in Vari, by returning too quickly. Was that before I started writing Fail Friday posts? Perhaps!

The good news was that he learned not to do it again and stayed out a long time to try to make sure he didn't make the same mistake, but died because of that. That and low health pool.

At least he gave it his best go. Gotta commend him for that! Even though we had some muckups, nobody was raging, which is a good thing!

Sunday Raiding - I wish we all had a priest cloak

On Sunday we went for Helya.... AGAIN.

We worked out some little tweaks to make it better this time. The foaming debuff comes out before the breath comes out, so people can take care of their first debuff by running into the corresponding colour on the ground. Easy. No dispels.

So that went well and we knocked out Helya and things were looking good. Lushen whispered me saying he went to kill himself with the debuff because he didn't want to roll through the raid. So... I didn't know that if you die with the debuff ticking down then it doesn't spread. He must have ranged himself a fair bit. Anyway, need to check that.

Then Helya. Oh dear. We wiped after the phase 3 breath - both tanks got mind controlled and it was downhill from there. Everyone was sads.

Frostie was on her priest Vilandras and she had the cloak so she rezzed us all back up. Then we did Helya again and it was flawless. Why couldn't we do that the first time!!!

Interestingly, Frostie got the achievement! The cloak kept the buff on her so she is now Vilandras the Chosen.

We all need cloaks. That is totally OP.  Grats Frostie! Need you there for next week!

Guildleader chores - Welcome to the Frostwolves Hotel California

It does feel a little like Hotel California here sometimes...

I've said this before in previous posts, at the same time each year! At the end of WoD, we had an insurge of people, and the same has happened again. People are lining up to join the guild!

At the end of the expansion, people start playing again - perhaps they played early in the expansion then got bored, but by the end they are coming back to check out what they've missed out on. Or maybe, people come back to a guild that has collapsed due to the pressure of raiding and find they're the only ones there. Or, people get one of those free 10 days to play things that WoW gives you when you've been away for a while and they like it and decide to resub.

Whatever it is, the past week has been full of new members coming to the guild, and some of them are returning members.

I admit, I am excited when new people join the guild. Especially when they show the characteristics that I think are important to being a good fit for the guild.

The first one that came along was one of Triarchi's friends, Deciphel. Apparently they've known each other for ages, and ... stop me if you've heard this before... ex-mythic raider who now has a family and job and hasn't got the time to invest in mythic raiding, but would like to do normal and heroic raiding. However, this guy also likes to chase achievements, because as I was "interviewing" him, he was with Triarchi in the midst of doing the "Tomb Raider" achievement.

After a long chat, he decided to join, and literally in his first hour after joining I dragged him to do the Chosen on Sunday. He was reluctant, because he didn't want to stuff up, and also didn't want to take anybody's spot. But it was ok, we were short anyway, and though we didn't get it (well, one person DID get it), he had fun, and it was great to have another achievement hunter join the guild.

Of course, I did ask him beforehand how many achievement points he had, because it is a standing joke that you can't join the guild if you have more achieves than me. Fortunately for him, I was way ahead of him and still #1 on the guild list.

The next wave of rejoins came from Voe, Rag and Dan. Technically those guys still had toons in the guild, but they had stopped playing WoW for a while. I asked them about their time away, and they all said that they had a great time away, making new friends and meeting new people, but not uncommonly, when you get into the cycle of searching for a mythic guild, each one has it's own internal dramas and they either collapse or you move on to escape those dramas. It was like when Nok came back - that though it was good to get away and do new things, that he realised when things went a bit sour, that Frostwolves was his home, and he wanted to come back to it. Dan said something similar - he said that there was a series of dramas after leaving that sucked the life out of the game for him. I'll paraphrase the best bit, because that made me feel happy:
... beautiful thing of hindsight! ... in some ways glad I did (leave the guild) ... only to come to the realisation that things were perfectly fine in FW. Now looking forward to BFA a little more with some good quality people...
I admit I have been a bit anxious about them rejoining, afraid of them being a bit weird and elitist like last time, but I really don't have to worry about that. Everyone knows that I dislike disharmony, and that I will step in if I'm not happy. I think the boys are genuinely happy to be back, and I just want things to be how they were 6 months before they all left.

The next one, which is exciting to me, was Anghelz joining on his alt. I met Ang in Onineko, and at their guild meetups. I like Ang, he's fun. He makes hilarious dad jokes (well, I like them, even if nobody else does). I wouldn't want him to leave Onineko for Frostwolves because... well, I don't want people to think I poach! Anyway, he came over and brought some seahorses to sell so he suddenly became everyone's favourite person. He might have been bustedAng probably won't raid, but if I need more jokes to tell the kids, I can always rely on him for something.

The next person to join was a lucky stray! Furyfire, trying to be helpful, saw a poor person in trade chat looking for a nice, friendly non-cesspool guild. Helpfully, he whispered them and said he was in a nice guild and to talk to Navimie.

I'm having flashbacks to when one guildie said to me "Navi, why are we picking up strays?" And... it's because I can't help myself. That could be me out there, wandering around whose friends had all quit playing, looking for a home. Nobody gives me a chance because they don't know me and I want to play this social game but I can't be social if I have nobody to be social with. Is there anyone out there like me?

So, I get a whisper and I start the LONG interview process. Sometimes it's over quickly, but I chat to the guy for the better part of... an hour. If anyone can stick it out for an hour and still be polite, and I like what they say, then into the guild they go! So this guy, Stahli, manages to stick it out with me for an hour, answering all my questions. Why do you want to be in Frostwolves? What are you looking for in a guild? Why did you leave your other guild? What do you like to do in game? And after all the probing, I get a pretty good handle on the guy. Joined the game with friends, joined a guild, drama and guild fell apart. Absorbed by another guild, more drama, a bit of a "cesspool" place that wasn't a fun place to be in. He moved servers, and ended up in another guild here that wasn't really the right fit and ... that's when Furyfire found him. He did say some amusing things.

"Are you in HR?" he asked me, after a few of my probing questions. "This seems like some of the questions I get asked in my recent job interviews." LOL. The other funny thing he said was when I told him he could find Discord and Facebook details on the guild info page, and he jumped onto Discord to chat to me and Crooked. He talked about some of the guilds he had fallen into.

"I got a random guild invite, and you can sorta tell it's going to be a cesspool place because tehre were 400 members in the guild, and most of them were inactive," he said.

"Umm," said Crooked. I giggled. "Don't judge us, Stahli," I said, "But we have 900+ members in this guild, and we're not a cesspool guild."

Poor guy. Caught him a bit offguard there. He was very chatty, and he seemed like someone who was looking for the social aspect of the game that he missed from his first guild with his friends. Hopefully we can help him find it again!

I was doing the Brutallus on Broken Shore and I got a legendary drop!

Ooh, another shaman legendary!

I thought... this is a sign. If I finish off my Naxt Victim, I think I will go and start levelling my shaman. Crooked got a Paladin legendary in raid the other day and everyone was gratsing him (but I was quiet...) and he said "Well, my paladin is stuck at 40!"

OK, OK, I'll start levelling! Then we can use these cool legendaries!

I kept putting it off, but when Coffee and Faith both got theirs done and I still had one to go, I sorta ran out of puff to get myself motivated to do it. I only had on more to go, An'thyna, which was from the Warbeasts summoning stones (yellow).

I logged on yesterday and Coffee said "Let's do your Naxt victim" and so off we went. I was a bit low on stones - I had kept all my yellows, but fortunately Nether Disrupter was up so we could go farm more stones.

Splatz came along. "Yes!" said Coffee. "We need a spinning top warrior." LOL. Splatz does great damage and runs around like crazy because of speed set, Highmountain Tauren, legendaries and other warrior stuff that I don't remember. I remember being pleased because one of the Nether Portals has a Doomguard rare that does fears. With Splatz holding it in melee I could safely outrange the fears. I saw the fear go out, and Coffee and pets were standing a bit close, so Splatz and Coffee went fleeing in fear (and a whole bunch of hunter pets) but I saw Splatz break the fear and hit the mob again, who cast another fear and then Splatz was feared away again, running at lightnng speed because he forgot to take his speed set off. Hilarious!

Splatz only needed one more (Engineering) so we did some of mine and some of his, and I said "I'd laugh if Splatz got his first." Well, guess what. we didn't do that many Engineering summons and we got a boss summon. MAN.

So Splatz got his and I got all mopey. However, Triarchi piped up saying he would like to help so he came down, and we went to get a few more stones. Then, on the first Warbeasts summon we got not one but TWO boss summons!

Here we are atop our pile of dead demons!

Yay me, I got my Naxt Victim! Another thing off my Legion bucket list. Which means it's now time to go level my shaman!

Fail Friday - Why did I try to fix something that wasn't really broken?

The guild Facebook page had a stickied post showing Names and Toons because clearly our real names did not match our toon names, and it was difficult to figure out whom everyone was. I was the one who knew most of them because there were PMs between me and most members trying to match them to their toon.

The original post was so outdated that I thought I would make a new one. It wasn't even a post. It was a document. What I should have done was edit the document, but when I looked at the document the hyperlinks looked a bit daunting so I thought it would be easier to make a post with everyone's names on it.

Well, that was bloody messy. And I hyperlinked everyone's names so much that Facebook told me I was banned from making anymore posts in that thread.

Crap.

Fortunately, Splatz was bored and decided to take on the monumentous task of fixing it. Little did he know that I had asked Morz to fix it for me too. So Morz posted it minutes before Splatz, after he'd spent hours fixing it.

Whoops!

But, now we have a nice names thing that is up to date. Until we have to edit it again....

Poor Anghelz.

So he's the new guy, tagging along. Joined on his alt. Brought seahorses from his other server and sold it to guildies at a super cheap price and dragged along to our Chosen runs.

Firstly, the raid didn't start off well. We were waiting for people to turn up, and Fin wasn't there. I rang, I messaged, I pestered. Fin didn't want to go. He was over the whole thing, failing every week. HK wasn't much better, the poor bastard was standing in the corner crying, not realising his mic wasn't working and so nobody could hear him talking. They all thought he was just sulking.

Eventually I got Fin on, 40 minutes later. Galestion and Frostie/Vilandras turned up as well, so we managed to fill out a whole raid. Phew.

So there we are, on Guarm, and the first lot of foamy debuffs goes out. Ang is one of them and next thing you know, he's dead. He had the purple debuff and I was like NOOOO what happened!!!

So then we were on Helya. We've done it before, nearly perfect! So this time we made sure we took it slow in Phase 2, make sure the floor was all washed clean, and then we had to make sure everyone who soaked a purple was healed up. HK was looking sketchy at one point and I was worried and healing the hell out of him, but we got it down!

So EVERYONE got Chosen title except poor Ang. Aimei, Finadama, Triarchi, Deci, Furyfire and Genowen (SEE I DIDN'T FORGET!). Fin is now glad I dragged him to raid, and is very grateful.

Now what to do about Ang. I wonder if we can find enough people to do it one last time....

So the real reason I haven't posted much in a Fortnite...

Yeah, I see what I did there.

Yes, I have joined the video game that is sweeping the young generation by storm. And it's not just for kids. Tons of adults are playing it too.

Anyone who reads my blog is a gamer, so playing a new game is nothing special. However, this is the only other game I have played in a LONG time. And, I got my kids playing it as well.

There are tons of articles, posts and whinges on the internet about how "My kid is addicted to Fortnite", or "Kid racks up $300 bill on parent's credit card on Fortnite." However, it's just like any other game, it's fun, it's quick, it's social and it has cool accessories (which is where the money sink is).

People have been trying to figure out what is it about the game that makes it such a sensation. I can tell you, it's because it's free, easily accessible and it's cute. I initially started playing it because I thought it was a mixture of Minecraft (my kids love Minecraft) and a Zombie game (I like zombie games). So, it seemed like something we could all play together.

It turns out, that's the PvE version, which is called Save the World, which is different from the Battle Royale which is what all the sensation was about. What's fun about it is that it's fast (games can last from 1 min to 20 mins), searching for treasure is addictive (ie weapons from chests), and you can get cool character customisations (which is where the game makes money). There are male and female characters, different races, different body types.

Interestingly, my kids seem to survive longer than I do. I think it's because they like hiding. Both of them have been down to the last 5 to survive and that's just by hiding somewhere. It amazes me how they can run around the open, chopping down trees, making lots of noise and yet nobody kills them. My son has even been carried to victory, and proudly shows me his umbrella. Me, I never win, but I do like running around finding things. If fact, just this morning he managed to get a Victory Royale in Duos by just hiding the whole time. Seriously wut?? I went to look at his stats - 0 kills. MAN. Why can't I get that!

My work colleagues do not share my enthusiasm of finding a new game to play with the kids. I went out to dinner with some female colleages/friends, and when they asked me what game I was playing and I mentioned Fortnite they immediately started with the "Oh, that's a really bad game for kids," and "I don't let my kids play shooting games," and "Violent games should never be played by young children." I am sure they saw me give them the evil eye, before I rolled them in resignation. After all, my kids spend time with me, they love having game time with me as we run screaming THERE'S A BADDY SHOOT THEM QUICK.

Do I worry about my son who is running around shooting people? Even though he does shoot to kill, when he's outside game and imitating Fortnite, he only ever does the in game dances, rather than any kind of shooting motions. He's having fun, it costs me nothing, and he never asks to buy any of the outfits. I told him he has to save game currency to get the items that he wants and he's happy with that. He's never asked me to buy him any currency so he can get stuff.

However... who the hell is going to keep me under control when I am dying to get the Rainbow and Sunshine set??

Fail Friday - "Hey guys I want to do a +20"

Poor Kyere. He's the new kid on the block (well, he's not a kid, but he is new!) who is a friend of a friend of a guildie.

Actually he's a friend of a guildie who is a friend of another guildie.

Ohhh, he's Triarchi's friend's friend. Triachi's friend Deciphel, who himself is relatively new to the guild. More on him in another post.

So we hadn't done our M+ for the week and I had Crooked, Tye and myself. I wasn't feeling game enough to tank, especially not a key over 15, and I had to dig up a friend to tank for me. My workmate Realshiz was online and he hadn't done a key on his pally, so he said he would come. I warned him there would be 2 not so experienced people, and he was like, oh that's fine.

We asked Kyere if he had done any M+, and he said he had, Deci had taken him. We also asked him if he'd done any 15s, and he said no, but he wanted to do a 20. Ahhhh.... hmm well, we'll see!

So off we went to do a 15 Darkheart Thicket, which is usually quite a nice instance to do, on raging, volcanic and tyrannical. I worried a little bit on Glaidalis because of the leap, so I told Crooked I'd do the distance thing so he would jump onto me. I don't think he had healed a tyrannical Glaid before so he may not have realised how much that dot hurt. Also, Kyere hadn't realised how much Glaidalis' charge hurts and he died. We wiped a few times, and eventually we got it. Had some bad trash pulls - and had a few deaths - and then we were on the Oakheart. I was trying to be at max range to try what I saw in the MDI, but I forgot I had to get in to get rid of the roots. Pally freedom is so helpful for that!

Now the run to Dresaron... poor Kyere, must be his first time because he pulled mobs every time running back! And we wiped on Dresaron a lot - too many whelps! But eventually we got it.

"Your friend won't live through Xavius," whispered Realshiz.

"I know," I said. "I just hope we kill it."

I just warned Crooked about the Feed on the Weak (which is the worst thing in the Xavius fight on tyrannical), and to watch out for the big damage at 50% , and Kyere as predicted died. But, we one shot it! I thought we would be wiping for ages....

Kyere apologised for being so dreadful, but it was alright. After all, how good could the run be if I had to DPS??? At least it was done and he got a good cache :)

I think now he realises that doing a 20 would not be a good idea :D but, at least he had fun! And we all had a giggle too.

Sunday raiding - Poor Ultra still not chosen....

Well, trying to drag everyone out was bloody awful. We couldn't even fill a group. We reached 15 and then slowly managed to drag it out to 17.

"This is stupid," said HK. "Odyn was so slow, like REALLY slow. We're not going to get this. We should call it."

Guarm is easy though, so we thought we could do that and try it, and see how we went. Maybe some more stragglers would turn up.

So off we went to do Guarm, and Ultraza got that bug where you die when you zone into the underworld. Well. We were all VERY SAD.

HK asked why are we bothering. I said "Well," I said, "if we call it, they won't get it. If we do it and fail we won't get it. But we MIGHT. It won't take long."

So with our merry band of 17 people we gave it a bash. And yes poor Coffee died early, and so did someone else, but with Splatz making nice organised calls, it went super well and ... we did it! So Ang got it and so did someone's alt (cant' remember who it was) but I as super glad we tried it.

A big grats to Anghelz who finally got it! And... we need to find some time to get it for Ultra. Come on Frosties, let's do it when prepatch drops! More of us will be playing then!

The final Chosen

It's almost time for prepatch!

Everyone is running around doing Mage Tower, levelling their alts, getting their weapons... I'm just thinking whether I can be bothered trying Mage Tower again. I should try it, but I can't muster the enthusiasm for the other 2 appearances.

However, what I WAS excited about was attempting Chosen one more time for Ultra.

I put it in the message of the day, and I wondered how many people would show up. And last night we had an amazing turnout, with more than 20 people (admittedly, some of them I dragged in), with a few other regulars who weren't there.

We had some other people who came along - Strophic and Arantir came (and we did stress to them how to do it), Exray made an appearance on Owl, and even Spoon came along. I was worried, because was Spoon there to kill the achievement run, by killing Ultra? Or was he genuinely there to get his Chosen? The last time he asked to come I told him no because I thought he was going to troll the run and kill us all. He seemed incredulous that I would say that, though whether he was even trolling then it's hard to tell. It's Spoon. Everyone said to me that if I pretty much assume that everything he says is to wind me up, I'd be correct 95% of the time.

Even Dumbear came. He had been avoiding raids, but he decided to turn up. Aza said "Why is an ear dumb?" I laughed because I have never read it as Dumb Ear, I've always read it as Dum Bear.

So we did some rudimentary explaining for first boss, and then that went fine, and then onto the second boss. To avoid that horrible scenario from last time where Ultraza zoned and died a zoning death, we decided to summon him down.

We stressed the importance of the colours on the ground, the foaming colour you get, run to the correct colour healer to get dispelled etc. But even I stuffed up. I am normally on Orange/red but this time I was purple. So stupid ass me ran to orange. When Ultra came to me for a purple dispel, I dispelled him and I thought OH CRAP I'm going to die, so I ran away with my colour and exploded and died with the purple foam on me. Arantir also died, because the poor sod didn't quite understand the mechanics of the fight and stood in one colour for the first breath, then a different colour on the second breath.

So Ultra lived!

Onto the last boss and we explained it and Splatz did his usual good calls, and everyone was playing reasonably well. We did have a few deaths in Phase 3, including Strophic, but we pushed through and got Spoon and Ultra their Chosens. YAY!!!

After that, we did our last run of Heroic Argus to help Taxar get his mounts and achievements. Oh boy was his health low but he managed to survive as best he could! It was nice hanging out with guildies - despite ribbing from Sev about not turning up for PvP nights, not updating my blog, and for playing Fortnite. But the Fortnite thing won't last much longer - it's the end of the season and I'm just going as hard as I can for the first time, but next time I'm just going to take it easy :D

So for anyone who is still reading - I will be away in Canada for 2 weeks, so the blog will have ANOTHER huge lapse in posts, I'll be sure to post some pics to let you all know I haven't been eaten by a bear!

So it seems like I missed a lot when I was away. Firstly, I should have spent my pet tokens - now I have thousands of the things and they're now useless!

Secondly, I forgot to empty my mail. I wonder how many items I lost to the nether....

Thirdly, the UI is different. It's cool, but different. And I do like this chat log history! I am yet to try out the in game chat, but so far,

Fourthly, I am way behind in honour. I logged on and the honour system had changed! Firstly, there was a spam of honour achievements...

Anyway, come Tuesday night there will be changes! I guess I'm glad I made it home to see what those changes are.... Darnassus things???

Do we HAVE to fight??

You know, I think I see now what some of my other blog buddies were complaining about regarding their lack of enthusiasm about Battle for Azeroth.

New content and stuff is exciting to me, but now as I play the storyline I'm thinking about how we were all fighting against one another in Pandaria, and then working a little more closely together in Legion and that felt kinda nice. Now we're fighting all over again??

I mean, I'm all about peace on earth and goodwill to all men and women, but Sylvanas and Malfurion going at it head to head? As a druid, I feel a little uncomfortable about that. And I'm sure I'm not the only druid out there who feels a bit weird about it.

Genowen adores Malfurion. She drools over him, and we make fun of her over that. Also, she played NE druid for many years before she came here, so being Horde druid was new for her. There was a lot of Malfurion in Emerald Nightmare so there was a lot of conversation and giggles with Gen, but she said that if it turned ugly in Teldrassil with Malfurion she said she might quit playing WoW.

And yet, I want to see it. Even though I don't want to see it.

I am hoping that maybe it's just this early bit. Maybe a bit later into the expansion we'll stop with this fighting each other business and go fight something else. Or maybe that's just childish dreaming.
